So...most of those who know us well, know that the last few years have been a little lean, as our business is pretty directly affected by the housing market, construction and real estate. Not terrible, but not overall great.
That's led to us not being able to do any events like MAL, MIR, Dore, Folsom, IML, etc. We also really hadn't had a plain old vacation since we came back from Australia and New Zealand in January 2009.
SO, with our spring season upcoming rapidly and not much money in the bank, we were faced with the choice of either going into another full busy season with no break ( again ) OR taking a staycation! Luckily, we happen to live in an amazingly comfy and wonderful house, with great views, lots of privacy, a fun playroom, lots of gear and good friends nearby. SO, for me at least the prospect of a stay-cation sounded pretty good...Drew was a little less enthusiastic...well, can't we go to the beach for 2-3 days, and go to my parents' and etc. etc. No big surprise, but not what I had in mind, as I pretty much always drive, therefore, 4-600 mile car trips, packing the car, shopping, blah blah blah, only to get to a place where we're looking at the ocean instead of Puget Sound.
So, we agreed to actually stay home for the big part of the week, relax, do some projects that have been on the agenda for awhile, and if we wanted to do something, spend some time with friends in Seattle. It turned out to be not only relaxing, but productive, fun and fairly inexpensive! We both got some things done..me on the french door project, fixing Andrew's toilet, the refrigerator light that's never worked and a few other things. Drew worked on his "hut" he's building halfway down the property...kind of a camper cabin for future use, and did a few other small projects. I even cleaned up the playroom a bit! whoo hoo!
But we did find time to play some too. Monday was a fantastic day weather wise...mid-50's, sunny and clear. So we took the CBR's and rode down to Gig Harbor to our favorite cafe/tavern on the water and had lunch. It's a nice 20 mile ride, with some fun twisties mid way, plus just good 2 lane country roads all the way.
We also celebrated our 16th anniversary and went to our friends Mitch ( and Kevin and Andrew ) Seattle's out in Woodinville, after visiting the wonderful Tacoma Glass Museum where they had 2 really incredible exhibits on. Kevin made us a great dinner (as always! ) and then we hopped in the car and drove to Seattle to the 5th Ave. Theatre for their new production of Oklahoma. Total fun..great cast, Rogers and Hammerstein, strong singers...just a fun evening, with desert and champagne back at their house! Really nice way to celebrate 16 years with Drew, and our good friends.
Of course, there was OTHER play...what you all want to know about anyway, face it! I did some repairs to the milker and attachments, and Drew got a ride on that, along with some BC/rebreather play and a little ball beating at the end. Last night I had been playing with the Eros Tek remote and had it hooked up to a metal cockring, and the dick head/cock cap electrode, which I then forced into a jock cup and compression shorts, so it really had good contact...ALL on the head of my dick. After a pretty fun face fuck session, with Drew in MX gear, and me in one of my one piece race suits, which resulted in Drew's getting off, but not me, we settled on the bed, and just did some endurance play with the electro while we made out. THAT was fun! I love shit like that...romance and torment at the same time! Its' like life LOL.
Today was just getting ready to go back to our real world....grocery shopping, bank, laundry, house cleaning...the usual. But we both feel a lot better, and more relaxed! A good staycation was had by all!
